Life is good in Washington D.C. That’s thanks in large part to the Washington Commanders. Yes, that same team that was dead in the water early in the season . . . that same franchise that has been so bad for so long . . . is finally giving fans reason to celebrate.
The Commanders, now standing at 5-5, pulled off the biggest win of the year on Monday, spoiling the perfect season for the Philadelphia Eagles with a 32-21 win. So yeah, Commanders fans are now out of control.
Here are some of the celebrations we caught on the internet. Cringe or not? You decide.
Lets start with this guy who tried to show off his vocals after the victory. What do you think? Does he deserve a Grammy?
This next guy doesn’t “care what happens the rest of the season.” Apparently beating the Eagles is all that matters. Oh wait . . . he’s also celebrating the news about Dan Snyder preparing to sell the team. You have to give this fan credit for his acting skills if nothing else. That way he shot down that imaginary bird was definitely on point. Do you, my guy.
Apparently the win against Eagles turned out to be the Commanders version of the Bourbon Bowl. Go Mud Dogs!
Ahh the sweet tears of Eagles fans . . . Commanders fans are saying right now.
Eagles fans were obviously feeling themselves when they woke up on Monday morning with an 8-0 record. But at the end of the day, the Commanders cooked up an L for the Birds.
Some say the Commanders have the cringiest fanbase in the NFL. But it doesn’t look like Commanders fans care about the critics. They will surely sing and chant for as long as possible . . . even if their vocals kill your ears.
So yeah, if you’re tired of all this singing and everything, pray the Commanders come back to Earth at some point. But at this point, they’re flying like an eagle.
